Sportsbook Review of YouWager |

2006/12/30 - Review by Ira Nanson
YouWager is an online sportsbook, casino and poker room operated by First Fidelity under the embrella of Business Management International SA which was established in 1994. The Costa Rican company is related to BetAnySports, BetPrimeTime, ChineseBookie, BetGrandSlam, LessJuice, BetPop, Vietbet and Wager7. The sportsbook is powered by ASI software which is the optimum choice of many offshore books such as 5Dimes, Cascade, BetJamaica, BetGrand, Heritage Sports, Nine, Pinnacle, Skybook, The Greek, and WagerWeb. The sign up process was easy enough but I failed to receive the activation email that was promised, so it was necessary to contact a customer support agent and repeat the process once again. The sportsbook provides betting lines on football, baseball, basketball, hockey, horses, boxing, motor sports, soccer, golf, tennis and entertainment bets. Sports wager types include point spreads, money lines, parlays, totals, buy points, teasers, if bets, reverses, action reverses and rolling if bets. Minimum stake online is $5 and $50 for telephone wagers. Deposit options include:
Withdrawal options include :
Book to Book transfers are permitted but customer support agents will not provide a list of books that they deal with. In fact its like pulling teeth getting this information from them but the agent Sal did confirm that they have the arrangement with Pinnacle, Nine and 5dimes. They do not transfer with The Greek or Wagerweb. Customer Support is available 24/7/365 via live chat, email and a toll free telephone service. Although the clerks are helpful with most things they do not like answering a lot of questions and you will find that they are particularly quick to end a chat session. There are mixed opinions, some customers rate YouWager and have never had any problems. However there are too many complaints from big winners (in the region of $10k) stating they have been screwed by this book and failed to get their funds out when they tried to make a withdrawal. Some customers have endured swearing and cursing from the hot tempered General Manager Freddie Harris who was described as a total lunatic. Some customers like to wager baseball here but dislike the late and not so great late lines. The marketing is known to be too aggressive with agents cold calling up to 3 times per week urging customers to upgrade (aka re-up / reload). If this is not for you make sure you contact them and tell them to take you off all mailing and marketing lists. The book offers generous bonus incentives but they are quick to pull the rug if you are winning and watch out for a possible 30 day hold and other rollover clauses. YouWager is an above average sportsbook but with all the complaints we highly recommend you invest you time and money in one of the better books listed on SGR. SGR sportsbook rating of YouWager : |
