IASbet was founded in 1996 by the prominent and well respected bookmaker Mark Read. With over 30 years experience amassed in the gaming industry Mark Read secured popularity with Australian, New Zealander and Asian bettors, in recent years they have gradually tapped in to the European, US and UK markets.

Publicly listed on the Australian Stock Exchange International All Sports Limited are related to the top ranking and highly acclaimed Canbet.

The software is proprietary owned. The layout of the website is fairly typical of most sportsbooks with the menu on the left, information and bonus links in the center. It's easy enough to navigate but the pages load pretty slow.

Its quite obvious from the homepage that IAS concentrate heavily on horse racing and offer a wide coverage of events on Australian, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and USA tracks. Other sporting events include soccer, NFL, baseball, basketball, boxing, cricket, golf, hockey, rugby, tennis and novelty bets.

Note there is no poker or casino wagering at IASbet.

Minimum stake online is AUD $1 per single sports wager. The minimum stake for telephone wagering is AUD $20 and $50 for horse and greyhound wagers.

Wager types include straight, money line, totals, live betting, coupon, margin, Asian handicap, multiple betting / parlays, parlays and teasers plus exotic singles.

IASbet are the self proclaimed king of bonus offers and suitably there are generous promotions and free incentives. Rollover requirements vary from promo to promo.

Although the Mark Read establishment always enjoyed a good reputation they were once shrouded in controversy and criminal investigations back in 2003/4 when former Commonwealth Bank Manager Kim Faithfull was jailed for 5 years for stealing $19 million and depositing large amounts with IASbet.

It was reported by ex employees that Faithfull would make the most outrageous and unrealistic bets which should have raised a flag that this customer was not in control of his actions.

Clearly and despite a drop in the share price, the company was not held in anyway responsible.

Other criticisms relate to the number of family members employed by IASbet and the astronomical payments they receive annually.

This is not a bad book by any means but CanBet is the better option and because it is insured with SGR you are guaranteed to get money back if they go out of business or refuse to pay without justifiable cause.
