Bookmaker Review of Betsense |

2006/12/05 - Review by Ira Nanson
Betsense have been online since June 2000 and is owned by Be-Emotions Limited which was previously known as Peoples Company (UK) Ltd. The website is slow and looks amateurish and probably one of the worst sites to navigate that I have so far come across. With the absence of a Home key you have to click through multiple pages to get back to the home page where the only New Account icon is positioned. Because it is so not user friendly I normally wouldn't bother registering an account but you can't navigate many areas unless you are a member. The signup questions are quite peculiar, requesting a company name and fiscal code plus the area of birth and locality of birth. Are they really significant questions? SO I finally got logged in and can now access the IBEX Sportsbook which offers odds on soccer, autos sports, volleyball, skiing, cycling, tennis, hockey, boxing and most US sports. Bet types include singles, multiples, systems, antepost and virtual matches. The odds are not the best but there's a good chance you may finds some good odds for the soccer league. The minimum stake for single bets is 3€ and multiple bets the stake is 2€. The maximum payout per bet is 10,000€. With the exception of live betting BetSense does allow customers to cancel a bet by paying a commission.. In the Tops and Flops section bettors can wager on the daily performances of some of the most important companies listed on the international stock exchange markets. Other betting options include Casino and Total Lotto which allows bettors to wager on the total value of balls drawn in one of the national lottery draws. Deposit methods include Credit Card, Paysafecard, Checks, Postal Order, Bank Transfer or a Prepaid Service Card issued by one of the business partners. Minimum deposit limits vary but Credit Card is 25€ and the prepaid service card is 10€. Although 24/7, customer service is rather lame since they only accept email inquiries which can take up to 2 days to respond. There is a comprehensive Rules and FAQ section provided but because IBEX, Total Lotto and Tops & Flops all have their own set of rules it can take a while to find what you need. To add to the list of negativity, Betsense have a substantial history of complaints relating to their payout policies and procedures, some customers have reported waiting around for as long as six weeks for their money after getting the runaround from customer service. Other customers have complained that they received erroneous credit card charges and deposited funds had disappeared from their gaming account. All in all, Betsense is not a sensible bet and until they make drastic improvements to their site and procedures we would recommend that customers check out Ladbrokes, William Hill, Stan James, Paddy Power and VCbet.
